Uni Boys’ Water Polo: Where Champions Are Made
We had a great Fall season and are looking to come back even stronger next year! Join us in Off Season for practice beginning February 3rd. We’ve got plenty to work on before the 2025 season starts.
Spring 2025 Boys Water Polo Off-Season Registration
Spring 2025 Off Season Practices
- Mondays – Thursdays, on designated days, 7:30 – 9:00 pm (please see team calendar)
- For all levels of players
- Games / Tournament registration separate (ask Coach Joe for details)
- Spring Off Season runs from 2/3 to 5/1
Extra Weight Room & Possible Fridays
Weight room with Coach Joe will be evenings before off-season practice (6:15 – 7:15 pm). Days will vary week by week (but will most likely include Wed and Thurs) & will be announced in the Off Season GroupMe group as well as on this site’s team calendar. Coach Joe may also host after-school practices on Fridays, typically 2:30 – 4:00 pm. Friday practices with enough players will include scrimmages. Participation in both Weight Room and Friday practices is completely optional and does not count towards the mandatory Off Season requirement of 2 practices per week, unless approved by Coach Jesse.
Boy’s Water Polo – Summer 2025
Plan on the following practice opportunities:
- Varsity competitions season
- All players – All grades and levels
- All players planning on trying out for the Varsity team in August must compete in over 50% of our summer water polo competitions. The only accepted excuse would be a new incoming athlete to the school. All returning athletes must compete in summer league games starting in June 2025 and mandatory preseason workouts starting around August 1st.
- You will not be allowed on the Varsity team if you decide to miss preseason “HELL WEEK” or summer league games.
Summer practice and games are a vital development time of the season for your coaching staff to assess your skills and your relationship with other team members. It is time to see if you can perform as a positive teammate before tryouts in August.
All other individuals wanting to make the team (JV or FS) will not be required to participate in all competitions throughout the summer. If we have enough interest, we will enter lower-level games for them to participate in, improve their skills, and heighten their development.
Injury & Sickness Policy:
- Injury: Injured players are expected to attend practice to participate or observe.
- Sickness: Contagious or bedridden players should stay home. If you’re well enough to attend school, you should be at practice doing dryland exercises.
